A new rumor indicates Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be ready to launch the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 in September while the larger 5.5 inch phone may launch at a later date. It is also rumored Apple may push production for the iPad Air and iPad Mini to a later date as well. This report, which was first noted on G for Games and Taiwan-based newspaper UDN.
iPhone 6 Phablet production delays predicted
It is also rumored first production capacity will be limited. By the fourth quarter, production capacity is expected to be up by 85%. This may be attributed to Foxbots, robots that were designed to help employees manufacture goods. It’s been rumored for a while that Apple would launch two versions of the iPhone 6 including a 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch version. The latter would be designed specifically to compete against phablets from Apple’s biggest competitors like HTC and Samsung.
One key feature that’s rumored to be featured the upcoming iPhone 6 is the sapphire display. This display makes for a better screen because of its scratch resistant capabilities. This has the same chemical compound as aluminum oxide, sapphire jewel, and sapphire crystal form.
