BlackBerry making BBM stronger

BlackBerry recently came out with the beta version of the BBM for Windows Phone. Windows based devices are not as much in demand as the Google’s android and Apple’s iOS phones, but in the future, they have the potential for making a place for themselves, and hence BlackBerry has planned to make available a Windows version of popular messaging, which is in the Beta stage, as of now. The company has announced its plans of making a full version available soon. BlackBerry seems confident of BBM performing well in the coming days and gaining further popularity despite competition from WhatsApp, which was acquired by Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) for a whopping $21 billion.

Also, last week, the Canadian firm introduced two new entrants – the Disney Villains and Paul Frank sticker packs, in BBM sticker shop. Anybody who has ever watched a Disney show will be able to find this favorite villains sticker in the shop. The other pack from Paul Frank has a set of Julius the monkey character stickers. The two contrasting characters will help users express better and are a good substitute to the emoticons used earlier. These packs have been made available in selected regions and are offered for $1.87.
