Leaks related to flagship phones are a dime a dozen. The success of these high-end devices is based both on their performance and their looks. Some companies focus on performance, while others are more focused on design and appearance. For example; Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and HTC Corp (TPE:2498) are known for producing attractive, stylish devices and using metal backs, while Samsung and some other companies often use plastic backs. In the final analysis, however, users want a device that’s a blend of good performance and looks.
Courtesy of PhoneArena, you can now take a look at leaked LG G3 press images. Apparently, the LG G3 will be following in the footsteps of the iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 by offering a stylish gold color option. Also, as you’ll notice from the rear view of the device, it appears to be made from an attractive burnished aluminum, but it could also be made from polycarbonate, as we’ve seen plastic in such a form in the past. It would definitely add more glamor and strength to the device if it turns out to be crafted from metal, following the example of the HTC One M8.
LG G3 rumored specs
The official unveiling of the LG G3 is expected to be on May 27th, and the handset is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display boasting an incredible and best in class 2560 x 1440 resolution. It will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 805 chipset and 3 GB of RAM, along with a 13 MP optically-stabilized camera for better snaps. The UI is also expected to be a complete redesign, and will offer a more personalized experience.
From these images, it appears that the LG G3 will be offered in silver, black and gold, and the smartphone indeed has the look of a premium device. Just maybe LG has finally delivered a real blockbuster. That said, we’ll have to wait for the official event to see what makes it stand out from other high-end smartphones.
