J.C. Penney jumps +14.22%

J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) jumped +14.22% today, rendering it this Friday’s top midday gainer. Its better-than-expected sales figures for Q1 are behind the surge of this George Soros asset.

The stock price of India’s largest private lender, ICICI Bank Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:IBN), increased +9.21%. News of two new savings accounts products and an increase in operating profits prompted the jump for this Steve Mandel pick.

Also posting a results-inspired gain is Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK). The Tiger Global pick increased +6.46% after its report, which showed increases in subscriptions, revenues and profits.

Kamada Plummets on Trial Failure

News of failure in a key trial for its top drug sent Israeli drug-maker Kamada Ltd (NASDAQ:KMDA)’s share price down, falling -33.43%. KMDA is part of John Paulson’s holdings.

Voltari Corp (NASDAQ:VLTC), a Carl Icahn, had a rough start to the day as well. Its price dipped -16.42%.

Last up is Enzymotec Ltd (NASDAQ:ENZY), down -8.15% after a ratings downgrade and target price cut. Another Paulson asset, Enzymotec is down -52.33% YTD.
