ExOne Disappoints on Results, Takes a Dive

Today’s midday gainers are Vipshop Holdings Ltd – ADR (NYSE:VIPS), Nimble Storage Inc (NYSE:NMBL) and Mallinckrodt PLC (NYSE:MNK). The losers are ExOne Co (NASDAQ:XONE), TAL Education Group (ADR) (NYSE:XRS) and BioFuel Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:BIOF).

Vipshop Results Spur Slight Price Surge

Vipshop Holdings Ltd – ADR (NYSE:VIPS) jumped +4.27% midday today on news of strong revenue and earnings growth. VIPS is in the investment portfolios of Tiger Global and George Soros.

Another Tiger pick, Nimble Storage Inc (NYSE:NMBL), surged +4.12% after the announcement of an agreement with Ingram Micro.

Last up is Mallinckrodt PLC (NYSE:MNK), up +3.14%. The John Paulson allocation got an increase of its target price by Jefferies Group.

ExOne Dives

3D printer manufacturer and Tiger Global pick ExOne Co (NASDAQ:XONE) dipped -15.08%. The company posted negative results yesterday after the closing bell, including an especially significant loss on EPS.

The share price of TAL Education Group (ADR) (NYSE:XRS) dropped -10.41%. The company announced an offer for $200 million convertible senior notes due in 2019, and investors apparently didn’t welcome the move. Tiger and Richard Chilton both have bets placed on XRS.

BioFuel Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:BIOF) dropped -9.62% midday today. The David Einhorn and Daniel Loeb pick is still up +235.60% YTD, even as questions arise regarding the business from Nasdaq.
