iPhone 6 Case vs. iPhone 5S, Galaxy Note 3 And Nexus 5 [VIDEO]

Updated on

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 6, is nearing its launch (relatively speaking), and like always, speculation has started to increase about what this new smartphone will look like, what features will it have, and when will it be released. As per the rumors floating around, Apple will be launching two new smartphones, one with a 4.7-inch screen and another sporting a larger 5.5-inch screen. Of these two, it is not clear right now which smartphone would be called the flagship smartphone.

This time, YouTube channel UnboxTherapy has gotten hold of an iPhone 6 case with 4.7-inch, and compared it against some popular smartphones like the iPhone 5S, Galaxy Note 3 and Nexus 5. The comparison is definitely exciting, as it gives an idea of the iPhone 6’s size.

The sleep/wake button will be on the side, as per this iPhone 6 case

When viewing this video, the first thing that you’ll notice is that this iPhone 6 case looks much similar in size to a Nexus 5. Now, the next major change that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is going to make is that sleep/wake button will be moved from the top to the right side of the phone. This would be the first time that iPhone would have such a button on the side, and not at the top. The new placement, however, makes sense because that’s where the thumb usually sits, and pressing the button from there would be convenient.

This iPhone 6 case is significantly thinner than the current iPhone 5, and as we know, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) loves decreasing the thickness of devices and then using it for marketing purposes.

So while we should always take such rumors with a grain of salt, it is entirely possible that this would be in fact, a legitimate case of the iPhone 6. Apple usually gives schematics to case makers in advance of the launch, and this case might be the work of such a manufacturer.
