HTC One won’t make its debut until late March, but that hasn’t stopped HTC from introducing other phone options in the meantime. The new phones are Desire 816 and Desire 610. Both models offer the same features the high-end HTC One model has but only at a lower price.

The HTC Desire 816 has some impressive features such as dual-facing stereo speakers with Boom Sound, BlinkFeed, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 5.5 inch display, HTC Sense 5.5, 13 megapixel rear camera, and a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. This model will be available globally. In March, the phone arrives in China and in April, the phone will arrive globally. Right now, there are no detail on price or when we can expect the phone to arrive in the United States.

HTC also offers similar budget-friendly phone

HTC Desire 610 is similar to the 816 in physical appearance save for a few key differences including a smaller display and minimally lower expectations. More importantly, it still features both Boom Sound and Blink Feed. Other specifications for this model include 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 4.7 inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage with microSD expansion card support of up to 64GB, Bluetooth 4 with aptX, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2040 mAh battery, and 1.3 megapixel front camera.

This model will debut in Europe in May.

Both new phones offer great design and that didn’t go unrecognized at this year’s Mobile World Congress event. Almost everyone commented on the good design elements. HTC held a research effort which reported and evaluated results from 2,177 participants. If anything, this shows us that good design is important as it truly makes users happy.
