Facebook ‘Look Back’: A Way To Celebrate FB’s 10 Years

Updated on

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), the social networking giant, turned 10 on February 4th, and to celebrate, it is offering users a way to ‘Look Back’ at those special moments that they’ve spent on Facebook. This option is available starting right now, and you can access it from facebook.com/lookback.

This Look Back tool, as the name suggests, takes you back to those special things that have happened to you on Facebook starting from your joining date. It lets mobile or web users watch a personalized movie displaying when the user joined Facebook, very first moments, most liked posts and some photos that you’ve shared during the years. It will compile all such moments and you’ll be able to view them in a video, with a music playing in the background.

Similarity between Look Back and Year in Review tool

This tool is very much similar to Facebook’s “Year in Review” tool which lets you look back at the top 20 biggest moments on the social network. But the ‘look back’ offers a far better picture as it is in video form, plus you’ll need to spend only a minute viewing it.

Facebook has recently launched a new app for iPhone called Paper. The application allows you to browse stories from your Facebook News Feeds and others in a better suited format for smartphones. The app is currently only available to iPhone owners in the US, and the company doesn’t have any plans to launch it on the Android platform at the moment.

So go ahead and Look Back at the video that Facebook created specially for you. If you like it, then don’t forget to share it with your friends by clicking on the “Share your movie” button from the top right.
