Facebook Inc (FB) Top Executives Exercise RSUs; Offload Shares

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) shares have been rising consistently over the past three months. The stock touched a new all-time high of $70.11 in pre-market trading Friday. The Menlo Park-based company’s VP for Business and Marketing Partnerships David Fischer, Chief Operating Office Sheryl Sandberg, CFO David Ebersman, Chief Accounting Officer Jas Athwal, CTO Mike Schroepfer and General Counsel Colin Stretch all exercised restricted stock units (RSUs) and offloaded shares in the company.

Facebook executives reap benefits of soaring stock

According to his Form 4 filing with the SEC earlier this week, David Fischer exercised 117,945 RSUs scheduled to expire on May 19, 2020. And then Fischer sold 60,634 class-A Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) shares at the average price of $66.8579 a share. He still owns 522,796 shares of the social networking company. CFO David Ebersman exercised 112,500 restricted stock units set to expire on October 25, 2019. He then offloaded 58,714 class-A shares for an average price of $66.8552. Ebersman now owns 340,131 Facebook shares.

Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, who recently became a billionaire, exercised 43,192 RSUs, according to her Form 4 filing. She disposed off 22,543 class-A shares of the company at $66.931 apiece. Sandberg now owns 10,082,402 Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) shares. Chief Accounting Officer Jas Athwal exercised a total of 25,407 RSUs, and then sold 11,610 shares at $66.92 each. Athwal is now left with 136,604 class-A shares of the company.

General Counsel Colin Stretch exercised 22,459 RSUs before disposing off 11,726 class-A shares at $66.92 per share. Stretch now holds 71,756 shares of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). Technology head Mike Schroepfer exercised 18,750 RSUs. He then unloaded 9,787 shares at $66.92 per share. Mike still holds 341,929 shares.

Fidelity owns 7.32% stake in Facebook

Recently, Fidelity Investments revealed in its 13G filing with SEC that it owns a total of 141,930,121 class-A and class-B Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) stock, with sole voting rights over 3,197,398 of them. That makes up 7.32% of the social networking company’s total outstanding shares.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) shares were last up 0.69% to $70.11 in pre-market trading Friday.
