The Cupertino-based tech giant has a history of adding one major feature with every new version of their iPhone operating system. So far, we have seen Siri, Maps, and complete overhaul. Well, many iPhone users have complained about the notification system of their device. Even the latest redesign didn’t satiate their expectations of a brilliant notification system. Designer Sangham Bhandari has come up with an iOS 8 concept design that can immensely improve the notification system in iOS 8.
The concept design has a revamped home screen where the current grid of app icons has been replaced with what may be called a combination of the Notification Center and Control Center. iOS 8 will bring the notification-intensive apps such as mails, messages, WhatsApp, phone and others to the home screen. Tap on the notification and deal with them right then and there, without having to open the required app. iOS 8 will also make the home screen the app launcher.
Philosophy behind iOS 8 concept design
The iOS 8 concept design makes the interface as user-friendly as possible. Despite so many apps with notifications, it still looks minimal. The home screen is not cluttered with unnecessary add-ons. Bhandari says the philosophy behind his iOS 8 concept design is that iPhone users won’t miss anything happening around them. And they can see the notifications without any trouble.
Users may be happy with the current form of iOS 7, but most of them definitely want an improved notification system with iOS 8. Let’s see what Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) really comes up with.
