Gold firm AngloGold Ashanti Limited (NYSE:AU) is our top gainer today, following a stock price increase of +10.71% to reach $15.04. Billionaire John Paulson holds 27.9 million AU shares, which represent 2.82% of his portfolio. He paid an average price of $14.08 per share.

IAMGOLD Corp (NYSE:IAG), another gold mining company, climbed +9.12% to $4.84 today. John Paulson has a position in IAG as well, with 3.8 million shares (0.12% of his holdings). He still has a lot of ground to make up for with this one, though – he paid an average per-share price of $15.83, meaning a -69.44% loss.
