Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) may be planning to sell its devices division to Microsoft very soon, but it isn’t slowing down in releasing new devices. In addition to the expected ultra-low end Lumia 525 which will focus on music, the company is also said to be planning a budget version of a large-screen device. According to Twitter tipster @evleaks, the big-screen budget device is codenamed Batman and will go to market as the Lumia 1320.

Nokia’s Batman handset to be just about the 625

Tom Warren of The Verge reports that sources have revealed that Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) is planning a device that will slide right into the company’s current portfolio of Windows Phones, right above the Lumia 625, which is currently on the market.

The Lumia 625 has a 4.7-inch screen, and the Batman phone is also expected to have a 4.7-inch screen. We’re been hearing reports that Nokia was working on a sort of low-cost Lumia 920, which is its flagship device. It’s possible that the Lumia 1320, or Batman, phone could be this device since it’s rumored to have a 4.7-inch high resolution display and a lower price tag than the Lumia 920.

Batman expected to have specs like the 625

According to The Verge, the Batman phone is expected to be designed as the top low-end Windows Phone. However, it specs will be similar to those of the Lumia 625. It is also expected to have a 5-megapixel rear camera as well as a front VGA camera. Even though it is a low-end device, Nokia is apparently planning to include its Nokia Camera app on it. The app combines the Smart Cam and Pro features of current apps.

Other Nokia devices planned soon

The Batman phone is expected to come out sometime this year, possibly along with the other five devices that are expected to be unveiled later this month. The other devices we could see this year yet include the Lumia 1520, which is believed to be a 6-inch phablet device, and the Lumia 929, which is believed to have a 5-inch screen.
