The iPad 5 has yet to be revealed, yet rumors for the iPad 6 are now circulating. Ming-Chi Kuo for KGI Securities claims that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has some new hardware coming out in 2014. He explained that the company plans on upgrading Retina display, which will pack 30% to 40% more pixels into a 9.7 inch display. He also thinks Apple will release a bigger tablet (12.9 inch) in 2014.
Most of Kuo’s predictions about the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C were on cue, so chances are these rumors are true. As for the iPad 5, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is expected to unveil the tablet at a press conference net week.
iPad 6 isn’t the only thing
According to Kuo, the iPad 6 isn’t the only thing on Apple’s mind. The Cupertino tech giant is reportedly working on a 12-inch Macbook which may fit in with the MacBook laptop lineup. Purported specs for this particular gadget could include a 12-inch Retina display. A higher definiton MacBook will likely debut during either the second or third quarter of 2014. BGR added, “Finally, the analyst says Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is also developing a new version of its iMac all-in-one desktop computer. Details are scarce, but Kuo says the new iMac will be less expensive than the current models, which apparently haven’t been selling as well as expected. The new iMac will seemingly launch in either the second or the third quarter next year and Kuo thinks it will boost 2014 iMac sales by between 10% and 20%.”
Apple testing different screen sizes for iPhone 6
Kuo also had plenty to say about the upcoming iPhone 6. The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is testing out different screen sizes for the iPhone 6, including a possible 6-inch phablet.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) fans have a lot to look forward to as the tech giant is making strides and history with constant innovation.
