Nokia Lumia 1520 features

The phone will reportedly feature a six-inch 1080p screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, polycarbonate body, and 20 megapixel camera. It’s predicted that Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) will introduce the new phone by the end of this month during an event in New York City.

Late last month, WPCentral shared what was a potential first photo of the 1520. Daniel Rubino explained, “The image above was leaked to us and while we cannot confirm it, we have a suspicion that it is accurate. For one, it comes with what looks like an optional back case with a front cover to protect the display. We also wouldn’t be surprised if it adds Qi wireless charging capability as well. It’s placed next to what appears to be a Lumia 1020 for size comparison. “

Evidence pointing to the photo’s authenticity is the fact that the bezel and display on the device match the photo of a bezel that surfaced earlier this year. Another thing that’s interesting to note is that we can see the standard proto.nokia.com etched design on the bottom.

Expectations for Lumia 1520 arrival

The Nokia 1520 is expected to hit AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and other carriers in November.

Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) was recently acquired by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) in hopes the smartphone maker would boost the company’s presence in the mobile market. Although, Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) has yet to make a real impact in the market. Unless some significant changes are made in the brand, and tech consumers actually become interested in their phones, it’s highly unlikely that the company will enjoy the same amount of success as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) or Android.

With the Nokia 1520, Apple Inc. NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and the Galaxy Note 3 all arriving in the upcoming weeks, it’s evident we will have a big season for smartphones.
