President Barack Obama National Address on War With Syria [LIVE]

Updated on

President Barack Obama will be speaking tonight at 9PM EST about the situation in Syria. The timeline is a bit confusing due to constant news updates, as well as frequent changes in stance by the Obama administration. While we try to stay neutral, we have been at the forefront of foreign policy coverage on both Syria and Egypt. We had many observations, as well as facts from sources when almost no one was paying attention to foreign policy issues.

President Barack Obama National Address on War With Syria [LIVE]

We have warned long ago that the fact that Syria (unlike Iraq) possess biological and chemical weapons should be an argument AGAINST intervention. While it is awful to see so many innocent people die, it is very possible that our involvement could cost more lives. Without editorializing further, here are what some of the ‘experts’ (note: we are not poking fun of anyone in particular, just the concepts of foreign policy experts with PHDs) are saying about what Obama will speak about tonight at nine PM eastern standard time.

What does this have to do with finance? Firstly, we do cover major political events, as well. However, any war in the region can easily spread to a regional conflict. While, for (REAL) long term investors, this might make no difference, for the other 95 percent it does. Furthermore, any increases in the price of oil (or other commodities)

Note: We will have both a live feed, as well as updates as Obama speaks about Syria. If anyone wants to view recent comments by the Syrian President (AKA dictator) Bashar Al-Assad to Charlie Rose, you can find the video footage here.

President Barack Obama, live video feed (we have two in case one does not work) on Syria below.

Updates from social media/other news sources, as well as our live blog can be found below the video.
