Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) users are getting irate by the long hours iOS 7 is taking to download onto Apple devices. Many of the users posted their concern on Twitter after the update was released online at 6pm BST, says a report from The Guardian.
According to users, the update process from the older version of the operating system to the newer one asks for WiFi connection, and is taking up to several hours to get completed.
Some of responses from users
“iOS 8 will be available by time iOS 7 finish updating,” said one user, DJ Melo.
Elle Lake (lizzylake) said: “43 minutes remaining to download iOS 7.0 but now 10 minutes later there is an error, and I have to upload it again with another 2 hour wait.”
For some users, the situation got even worse than an error message as they were unable to download iOS 7 at all.
Sam Allison tweeted that he wishes he is not the only one who is getting an error message when downloading the iOS 7.0.
Another user Conor Rickards picked up a sarcastic tone to post about his problem, saying that he is having a great time using iOS7 and posted a picture that showed an error message on his screen.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has faced glitches in running network services before. Two years back at the time of its iOS 5 launch, Apple went through similar issues. The iPhone maker has been toiling hard, for over a decade, to come up with a vigorous suite of cloud computing services, but often the services have been coupled with slow performance, outages and strange failures.
Apple iOS 7, a host of new features
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) launched iOS 7 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC) in San Francisco in June, and claimed that the operating system is armored with a multitude of features to give users a new experience. The new OS was designed to make the iPhone look bigger with features that can utilize the full screen.
Text is expected to have sharp visibility, and there is a control center on the phone that allows users to toggle between all important features of the phone.
The new operating system from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has changed the look of iPhone and iPads by bringing a host of changes in the display and features. iOS 7 is equipped with new toggle features, which is the most significant change in the look of software after iPhone debuted in 2007.
A host of new features really don’t matter much if the end users are unable to enjoy them.
