There’s much to do recently regarding the explosion in natural gas production here in the U.S. The shale gas industry has been a disrupter of sorts amongst the energy sector. With production in the giant Marcellus Shale increasing at such a rapid rate that it has begun to displace oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, combined with inexpensive gas leading to a decline in nuclear energy, it’s easy to see that this new energy source is a serious contender.
Thanks to this quick and simple video from The Atlantic, we can get a basic understanding of where the gas lies in the U.S. and the arguments against the process by which it is removed.
