iPad 5: New Images Leaked

Updated on

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s upcoming iPad 5 may have a thinner front panel than previous generation. According to a recent blog post on Sonny Dickson’s blog, purported images of a thinner front panel show that we might expect a thinner version of the popular tablet. Dickson has recently shared purported images of the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iPad Mini 2, so it’s no surprise that he would have the news for the iPad 5.

The panels shown on his blog look similar to panels we have seen from another source, which likely means the photos are legitimate.

Expectations for the Apple iPad 5

Geek.com added, “A slimmer frame means we are likely going to get a lighter and hopefully thinner iPad 5 that still retains the Retina Display we have come to expect. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will also have to incorporate an intelligent way of recognizing and not registering a thumb sitting on the edge of the display. Another thing to consider is the display lighting. Does the thinner bezel mean Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has had to modify how it lights the screen? And what effect will that have on the overall quality and brightness? “

Apple’s plans for iPad mini

It looks like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) plans to keep their slim bezel from their iPad Mini for their next generation of iPads.

It’s been a while since Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) released a new version of the iPad. Last year, the company released two new iPads as well as the iPad Mini. Like the upcoming iPhone 5S, there is a lot riding on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) as fans hope for a new and exciting tablet computer. The last thing fans want is for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to do a redux of the iPad 4. It would also be beneficial for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to improve their larger iPad to help diffrentiate it from the iPad Mini. That would help boost overall sales and keep fans interested in the larger iPad.
