John Legere, T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) CEO, told Wednesday that he is ready for a deal with DISH Network Corp (NASDAQ:DISH) as well as competitor Sprint.T-Mobile Is Open For Deals With Dish And Sprint: CEO

“When I look at the medium to long term, I’m intrigued by Dish’s vision,” Legere told CNET.

 T-Mobile transforming

T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) is in the process of rebounding through change in its image of being an old carrier. The company is launching some new programs like the one which lets customers update their phones two times a year.

CEO Legere said that T-Mobile can provide some exclusive specifications and spectrum and the deal that benefits the shareholders will definitely be considered. He said that all the deals will be observed from a strategic point of view.

 T-Mobile Also Considering Sprint

Apart from DISH Network Corp (NASDAQ:DISH), Legere is also considering Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S). T-Mobile merger with Sprint has been considered as the most viable deal from a strategic point of view in order to stand an alternative in front of AT&T and Verizon who have concentrated the power for long. Softbank Corp. (TYO:9984) (PINK:SFTBF) has considered T-Mobile as an option in case Sprint is taken over by Dish Network.

Sprint was in the news when T-Mobile was delivering its presentation, but it was not impressive. The executives of T-Mobile said that the 4G LTE network rollover process of Sprint is lethargic and that customers are in the middle of nowhere due to slow 3G speed of the Sprint network.

Legere, however, said that if SoftBank acquires Sprint, the cash position will be strong, but the possibility of any such deal till 2015 is slim.

 Legere impressed with Dish

Legere said that when DISH Network Corp (NASDAQ:DISH) echoed that it wants to buy Sprint and made presentations about the visions in front of Wall Street, it was very strong. Legere further added that he is impressed with the vision of Dish CEO Charles Ergen.

However, according to Legere, T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) has not initiated or rather not in the middle of any talks with Dish Network over any sort of deal as of now. He also restated that T-Mobile does not require merging with any other entity in order to continue running.

Dish Network was previously eyeing to acquire Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) as well as Clearwire, but could not succeed when Sprint took over the shares of Clearwire. Later, Softbank got the approval of shareholders to acquire Sprint. Dish is now looking forward to buy another wireless business to mark its first step in the communication business, T-Mobile being the obvious choice.
