iOS 7 Jailbreak Successfully Done By Hacker

Updated on

Like it has always happened, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) regularly comes out with new version of iOS 7 and the jailbreak community comes out with a jailbreak of that version. Apple too regularly patches the holes that iOS developers exploit to jailbreak the platform, but it has always been proved in the past that in the ongoing battle between Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and iOS jailbreak community, the latter always wins the war. The Evad3rs team for example, has come out with the Evasi0n jailbreak tool which allowed users to jailbreak their iOS 6 devices, and finally reign free from limitations placed by Apple.

Now it seems that Ryan Petrich, an iOS hacker has come out with a screenshot of iOS 7 beta already jailbroken and running on his iPod touch. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has always tried to give the jailbreak community a touch of competition but thanks to talented developers like Ryan, the jailbreak community will always flourish and will be there to help users who want to jailbreak their devices. This being an early release, it still seems to be promising.

The Very First iOS 7 Jailbreak?

This photo appears to be taken from an iPod touch running on iOS 7 with a jailbreak. It’s not clear which iPod touch it is running on. In the photo, we can see three default iOS 7 apps as well as the Activator icon. If this image came from some new developer or someone outside of the community, then it wouldn’t be wise to trust it as it could be a fake, but given Ryan’s standing in the community and his image, this could be the very first real iOS 7 Jailbreak we’re seeing right here.

For now, it’s not likely that iOS hackers will release any tool to jailbreak the iOS 7 beta version. The hackers would wait for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to release the final version of the OS and then after some time, we could probably see the jailbreak tools for public. Developers have always kept the jailbreak process as easy as one click, as we’ve seen with Evasi0n jailbreak and other tools.

Well, for now, let’s wait and watch for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to release the final version and then let’s just hope that we see a jailbreak soon for iOS 7 final version.
