‘Google Play Games’ Arrives on Play Store – Download Now

Google has unveiled a brand new app on its Play store named as Google Play Games. Google might have taken a cue from Apple by looking at iOS’s Game Center which also functions similar to the Play Games app. The app serves as a companion portal for the Google Play Games Services which was announced at I/O.

The app allows users to play with your friends and see what they’re playing, join multiplayer games, track achievements and compare your scores with other gamer friends. Apart from all these features, Play Games serves as a central place to launch all the installed games on your Android device.

The Google Play Games app comes with discovery features which are powered by Google+ circles. Google is finally making some good use of its social network by utilizing it in the app. Games like Asphalt 8 Airborne, Riptide GP2 and Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame will be the first titles that will utilize this platform. Other titles will soon follow, but these are what you get right now.
