Several companies such as Statoil ASA (NYSE:STO), Strayer Education Inc (NASDAQ:STRA), Telefonica S.A. (NYSE:TEF) (MCE:TEF), Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY), and United Continental Holdings Inc (NYSE:UAL) are each scheduled to post its quarterly earnings results on Thursday, July 25.

Statoil ASA (STO)

Wall Street analysts are projecting that the earnings of Statoil ASA (NYSE:STO) will increase for the second quarter. The company is expected to generate $0.63 earnings per share, higher than its $0.59 EPS in the same period last year. However, its revenue is estimated to decline by 19 percent year-over-year from $33.7 billion to $27.17 billion. For the fiscal 2013, analysts estimated that it will achieve an EPS and revenue of around $2.61 and $112 billion, respectively.

Strayer Education Inc (STRA)

The average consensus EPS estimate for Strayer Education Inc (NASDAQ:STRA) was $1.38, a decline of 25 percent compared with its $1.85 earnings per share last year. Analysts anticipated its revenue to by more than 10 percent from $146.25 million a year ago to $13.41 million. For the entire 2013, its EPS is expected to be around $4.07 and revenue at approximately $507.30 million.

Telefonica S.A. (TEF)

Telefonica S.A. (NYSE:TEF) (MCE:TEF) is expected to post its financial performance from January to June 2013 this coming Thursday. The consensus average revenue estimate for the Spanish telecommunications giant was $77.23 billion, a decline of more than 3 percent from its $80.14 billion revenue last year.

According to Zachs Equity Research, Telefonica’s will strengthen its presence in Germany with the acquisition of E-Plus, a subsidiary of Royal KPN. However, the research firm indicated that the primary challenge for the transaction is to obtain regulatory approval.

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (TDY)

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) is expected by analysts to report flat earnings at $1.06 per share for the second quarter. Its revenue is estimated to grow by more than 11 percent from $518.50 million a year ago to $577.43 million. For the full fiscal 2013, the company is expected to generate $4.50 EPS and $2.34 billion revenue compares with its $4.33 EPS and $2.13 billion revenue in 2012.

United Continental Holdings Inc (UAL)

Meanwhile, analysts estimated that United Continental Holdings Inc (NYSE:UAL) will post weak financial performance for the quarter. The airlines company’s earnings per share is expected to decline from $1.41 in the same period last year to $1.29. Its revenue is expected to increase from $9.94 billion to $9.97 billion. For the full fiscal 2013, United Continental is projected to achieve $3.38 EPS and $38.14 billion revenue.
