The original 6″ Kindle device is available for order right now but other models like the Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Paperwhite will be available starting on June 27th. Those who’re interested can sign up for an alert from the site so that they can be alerted when the device goes up for sale.

When Amazon.in was initially launched, the site only had books and DVD content, but now the ecommerce giant has added Kindle devices to its inventory.

Indian Consumers Will Be Able To Purchase Amazon’s Kindle

Indian consumers will be able to purchase the 6″ Kindle device for INR 5,999, Kindle Fire HD for INR 15,999 and the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ for INR 21,999. The Kindle Paperwhite and Paperwhite 3G is also available for INR 10,999 and INR 13,999 respectively.

The company previously launched Junglee, a price comparison site in India in February 2012. With this site, perhaps Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) wanted to learn about India’s growing ecommerce space.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has also promised to launch mobile phones and cameras in the coming weeks, said the company in a statement.

Well, it seems that Indian ecommerce market has started to heat up!
