Which site gets the most number of visitors per month; you must be guessing Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX), and other popular sites. But these are wrong, porn dominates the internet.

As per the data by a new porn website Paint Bottle, porn accounts for a massive proportion of internet bandwidth, as much as 30 percent all data transferred across the Internet is porn. The popularity can be reflected from the fact that YouPorn, one of the popular porn sites, streams six times the bandwidth as Hulu.

Number of visitors on the porn web site is greater than the combined visitor at Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX), Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)  and Twitter, the data revealed. As per the data, Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) gets 46 million unique monthly visitors while Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Twitter get 110 million and 160 million respectively. Porn sites get about 450 million unique monthly visitors.

Of the visitors on the porn sites, 70 percent are men while only 30 percent are women visitors, reveals the data. The survey further tells that on an average a visitor spends 12 minutes on a porn site and an average viewer visits 7.5 times per month.

PaintBottle was founded by three Canadian entrepreneurs from Montreal, John Phillips, Craig Hensley, and Amy Ambrose. Phillips was the lead programmer of the site while Ambrose heads the multimedia designing and Hensley is the financier. Montreal also has some big porn companies, like Manwin and Gamma, and is popular for online gambling due to restrictions in U.S.

PaintBottle is mainly a discovery engine. It has around 20,000 visits by mid April after they were covered by Hacker News. The porn site told that an average time on the site is 40 percent more compared to other “tube” sites. Unlike the rivals who have ATOS of seven minutes, PaintBottle sees 9.25 minutes, suggesting more stamina or the positive influence of the site’s clean design and curation.

“All content featured on Paint Bottle is fully licensed through content partners; we will never accept user-submitted videos nor do we “crawl” videos from other sites”, says John Phillips.
