The Galaxy S4 from the house of Korean electronic major Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) has achieved 10 million channel sales just after one month from the time it was launched. In the previous week itself, the company declared that 6 million units of the S4 have been shipped after the phone was launched internationally on April 26.

Galaxy S4 Sales Top 10 Million

The prior versions of the Galaxy series like Galaxy S2 had to struggle for 5 months to reach the mark, and Galaxy S took seven months to make this record.

The reason for Samsung Galaxy S4’s record sales:

The probable reason for the quick channel sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 might be the fact that the company rolled over its S4 model all together in various markets. It is often seen that the developed markets get access to the new products first, and the launch in the emerging markets is scheduled later. Samsung, on the other hand, adopted the marketing, which made sure that every market knew about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, be it the United States, UK or India.

There are some inventory related problems that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) has to settle down due to which the launch in the United States was disturbed, and the company said that it happened due to burgeoning demand of the phone.

Galaxy S4 vs. iPhone 5

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) has outperformed iPhone and has sold faster than its arch rival Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). The sales of Galaxy S4 also outpace the record, which was set by Galaxy S3 that made a record of selling 10 million phones (through channel sales) after 50 days from the launch in 2012.

Jordan Crook said that no doubt the Galaxy S4 from Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) is galloping fast and is creating the dominance in the Smartphone market all over the world, but from the technical point of view iPhone are ahead in sales compared to any model of Samsung Galaxy Series.

At the time when iPhone 5 was rolled over in the market, Apple Inc. (NASDAQLAAPL) booked 2 million pre orders in the initial 24 hours of the launch. The other point that makes Apple iPhone ahead of Galaxy is that the pre-orders of iPhone 5 were two times more than the pre-orders of iPhone 4S. The consumers very much like their iPhone, and the fight between Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will further rise when Apple will launch some new gadgets later this year.
