Apple Inc. (AAPL)'s iPad 5 Rumoured To Launch After iPhone 5S

Macotakara, a Japanese blog, revealed the information according to which the latest iPad will be available after the much awaited iPhone 5S. The upcoming iPhone 5S will most probably be launched near September. The iPhone 5S will be launched after almost a year from the launch dates of iPhone 5.

Apple iPad 5 Features:

As per the Japanese blog, the next generation iPad will have a 9.7 inch screen and will have a rear microphone beside camera, similar to that of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 5. According to the reports, the concept of the rear microphone was also incorporated in the iPad mini prototype, but it was never materialised in the product, which was introduced last October.

The company decided to get rid of the rear microphone in the final stages of the development of iPad mini, now it is looking forward to build it in 9.7-inch iPad.

Expected features

There have been reports in the past as well about the design and shape of Apple’s fifth generation iPad. The fifth generation iPad is said to strike a similar resemblance to iPad mini features like thinner bezel around the screen, and the ends will be more curved. The benefit of the design will be that the device will become lighter by 25 percent and will be slimmer by 15 percent.

The other changes expected are “GF2” touch panel by which the touchscreen component of the iPad will become slimmer. The battery power will be increased, and probably the size of the iPad’s internal battery will be smaller, which would ultimately impact the weight of the device.

iPad gaining popularity

The iPad has been a popular gadget from the house of Apple Inc.
