Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), the game developer, has announced it is developing action role playing game Battlestone for iOS and Android devices. With games specifically for mobile users, the game maker is slowly breaking away from its reputation of a casual game maker over a period now.
Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) has previously announced the launch of its mobile based gaming in the past as well, and Battlestone is an addition to the series.
The game Battlestone has already been rolled out in the limited small markets. Battlestone from Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) is a RPG with a real time combat. The actions in the game will be controlled by spontaneous finger swipes and taps. Zynga has cleared that the controlling techniques of the game will help the users to play the game smoothly and stage war against multiple enemies at once.
As the gamer moves ahead in the fantasy, he can collect new hero characters that will have unique powers and abilities. The Battlestone will allow the gamer to select its favorite hero and play the game in various 3D environments which would be inbuilt in the game.
“Players develop their gameplay strategy here [by] swapping out different heroes for just the right combat environment and opponents,” November Software chief technology officer Szymon Swistun mentioned in a blog.
The software, November, which was acquired by Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), is rolling out the game for testing. According to Swistun, the game developer is making efforts to make the game so that it is compatible with the audience irrespective of the country. In the near future, there will be some more disclosures about Battlestone and the exact date will be given for the launching of the game worldwide.
Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) has been trying to transform itself lately. The game maker, once the darling of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) users and players has seen a decline in its subscribers. Last year a new game was published by Zynga for iOS, Horn, which is an adventure game and said to be quite interesting.
The challenge, which Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) will come across with these launches, is that it will have to maintain a fine tune between “midcore” gameplay with its freemium promotional practices. The company saw enormous success with its social gaming but lately the company is making every effort to go viral.
