Galaxy S4Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy S4 on March 14, this phone is the company’s next flagship smartphone. According to the report of CNET, the launch is dated on March 14.

Samsung has already distributed invitations for the “Samsung unpack” event in New York for the next month. The invitation did not have many details, but according to the report, Samsung will launch the new heir of its Galaxy range over there.

This is big, and certainly one of the most awaited announcements from Samsung, it is likely to overshadow other announcements at Mobile World Congress, which just like the Consumer Electronic Show is losing the lustre as big tech companies prefer to make announcement their own platform. HTC, the major mobile maker, announced the debut of ‘One’ range in its own global event in London and New York.

Samsung has tasted unmatched success through its Galaxy S3 phones, and this has increased the expectations of consumers and others alike for its next model Galaxy S4. Last year, Galaxy S3 stood out as the most fierce competitor of Apple iPhones and even increased its sales after the launch of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 5.

There have been reports and rumours about the anticipated launch of Galaxy S4 on March 14. Along with the launch date, there have been talks about the numerous specifications, which the S4 will possess. Some of them are eight –core Exynos processor, a separate eight core graphics processing unit, a 4.99 inch SuperAmoled display, 2GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capability, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, and the latest version of Android known as 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Woo Jun, the Director of Telecommunications Group at Samsung Gulf gave this confirmation to Emirates 24I7 that the next phone will have a better display compared to predecessor S3.

Galaxy S3 came with display of 4.8 inches while S4 is expected to come up with increased screen size, which could be around 4.99 full HD 1080 Super AMOLED display, and with the display density of 441dpi. Samsung is also seeking to embed its new security software Knox, into Galaxy S4.

Samsung, however, is expected to sit on the Qualcom processors agai,n following difficulties with its own Exynos 5 Octa Processor.

The sales figures of Samsung Galaxy S3 has been impressive with 18 million units sold during the third Quarter of 2012 and 15.4 million during the fourth Quarter of 2012.
