Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) has launched its highly anticipated Windows based Lumia Range phones in Pakistan, in partnership with Pakistan’s leading cellular network Mobilink.

Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) claims to bring wirless charging to mainstream by introducing wirless charging outside home bounds.

The device portfolio which was unveiled consisted flagship device Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 620. Nokia Lumia tablet also made a brief appearance during the Lumia launch.

“We are focused on redefining the future of smart devices and continue to invest towards delivering truly compelling experiences to consumers across price points”, said Allesandro Lamanna, vice-president of marketing in India, Middle East and Africa at the launch.

Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) wants to take the Lumia experience across the world “to more and more consumers faster. The roll out of not two, but three devices marks not just our intent and agility, but also reflect our commitment to our consumers in Pakistan.”

Salman Siddiqui, country lead, Microsoft Pakistan said, “With Window Phone 8 we created a new way to think about smartphones, one that puts people at the center.”

“With the same look and feel, the same technology core and cloud service, Window Phone is built to work seamlessly with Windows 8. You can learn it once you use it everywhere; from Tablet to PC, to phone, it is all there for you whenever and however you want it.”

“Mobilink continues to remain at the forefront of bringing the latest in cellular technology to our coustomers” added Arsalan Quraishy, head of corporate sales, Mobilink (South).
