Now that the evasi0n jailbreak is released, it makes more sense to install some useful Cydia based tweaks to reap the benefits of you jailbreaked device. Flex is one such tweak that lets you create your own jailbreak tweaks.
Here’s what the developer of Flex has to say:
“Flex lets you exercise the limits of your device by enabling you to make your own jailbreak tweaks. The Flex Community cloud features tweaks shared by Flex users, and lets you download and install these tweaks instantly.”
For sure, this seems to be a great idea that would appeal those users who were thinking to create tweaks to suit his/her own particular needs. But before you get excited, note that Flex doesn’t allows the creation of complicated or advanced tweaks, but it only allows users to create some basic tweaks that focus on small system changes.
Flex allows users to make small tweaks from within the application and there’s no programming knowledge required to create new system tweaks. It’s just that the user will need to select some options from the GUI and create a useful tweak. No Objective or Xcode knowledge is required to use Flex.
Flex has also received some controversy because some developers think that the tweak is too powerful for the average users, and it shouldn’t offer such power to regular users. Some also believe that Flex attempts users to get familiar with how iOS works on a low level. There are always two sides of the same coin, and likewise the opinions differ in this case also.
Well, whatever case it is, Flex definitely is a tweak that stands out from others; it has an excellent UI considering the fact it allows users to create and share jailbreak tweaks with others.
Flex can be purchased from Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $3.99. Let me know about your new tweaks created using this Flex.
