But the problem till now was that Apple TV was not officially launched in these countries.

Today, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has finally launched Apple TV in India, with a price tag of Rs 7900 (approx. $150). Strangely, the price is higher, compared to the retail price in the United States which is $99, people had expected it to be priced around Rs 6000.

Apple TV, though starting as a hobby project, has grown into a popular gadget. Users have the choice to pick from thousands of current and classic movies and TV shows from iTunes, many of which is in 1080p (full HD) format.
