Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) launched the iTunes store in India and 54 other countries some months back, this enabled users from these countries to purchase music, movies and TV shows with their local credit and debit cards. But the problem till now was that Apple TV was not officially launched in these countries.
Today, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has finally launched Apple TV in India, with a price tag of Rs 7900 (approx. $150). Strangely, the price is higher, compared to the retail price in the United States which is $99, people had expected it to be priced around Rs 6000.
Apple TV, though starting as a hobby project, has grown into a popular gadget. Users have the choice to pick from thousands of current and classic movies and TV shows from iTunes, many of which is in 1080p (full HD) format. Users can also access content from Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vimeo, YouTube and many more platforms.
AirPlay enables users to wirelessly play videos, music and photos to Apple TV from your computer, iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. The best part is; you can enjoy all the content on your TV in HD format.
Those who were waiting to grab an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)'s TV from official channels can now get it, but they will need to shell out more money.
