Research In Motion Limited (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSE:RIM) CEO Thorsten Heins spoke with FOX Business Network (FBN) about the upcoming release of the BlackBerry 10. Heins said, that he “won’t speculate on any rumors” regarding Lenovo Group Ltd seeking to acquire Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSE:RIM) (or now BlackBerry), and that their main focus is to continue “our strategic review” in order “to claw back market share” with the launch of Blackberry 10.

 On Lenovo buyout rumors:

“I won’t speculate on any rumors, this is the absolute position of the company, because if we would have to announce something then we would have to do it publicly because we are a publicly traded company. We are continuing our strategic review… the focus is changing a bit towards what can we do, what partnerships should we be doing. In order to be a leader in mobile computing.”

On whether there is a possibility the new BlackBerry will miss its targeted March release in the United States:

“No, no absolutely not.”

On whether he will go after market share for his target audience:

“Absolutely, I want to claw back market share.”
