Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V)’s Lumia handsets have been a hot topic among investors recently. While the company reports that sales are strong, it won’t release any concrete sales numbers until its next official earnings report, so we have an unclear picture of how they are going. Nonetheless if you look around the internet, you’ll see plenty of reviewers handing out love notes for the Nokia Lumia handsets.
Nokia collected a number of reviews about the Lumia 820. The company said there are almost 15 million web pages which mention the new Windows 8 handset. Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) has collected what it calls “the best of the best” quotes about the Lumia handsets.
They quote Pocket Lint as saying, “Visually, and technically, this phone is arguably more interesting than the Nokia Lumia 920.”
That’s an interesting comment since a lot of the rave reviews floating around are about the Lumia 920. Its less-powerful sibling doesn’t get quite as much press as the 920.
Tech radar said, “The Nokia Lumia 820 sits nicely at the crossroads between value and power.”
Engadget made a note of the camera found in the Lumia handsets. That camera is one of the areas in which Nokia Corporation has received the most praise for its Lumia handsets. Engadget is recorded as saying, “Nokia has a reputation for quality smartphone cameras, and the Lumia 820 maintains that.”
Meanwhile The Verge covers the 820’s specs nicely, tipping its hat to the speed of the 820. “A dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, the same found in the Lumia 920, allows the 820 to fly along,” The Verge said. “It’s super quick.”
So it certainly seems as if the Lumia 820 has the attention of tech reviewers. But will that be enough to boost Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V)’s sales? We’ll have to wait until the company’s next earnings report to find out.
