Updated on

Twizgrid is a new iOS app that lets you browse photos on Twitter, visually. There are many Twitter clients, but Twizgrid stands apart from them, as it runs on an interesting concept – remove text tweets and show just the photos in a grid-like format.

Twizgrid provides an entirely new visual experience of Twitter. Twitter is also slowly becoming a new sharing route for images and people around the world share images of recent events, or from Instagram and other popular photo sharing services. Therefore it definitely makes sense to browse only the images on Twitter and this app lets you do just that.

Using Twizgrid

After installing the app, you can start browsing photos instantly. Photos are presented in a grid like format. There’s no need to login to your Twitter account, but if you want to, then you can also use it as just like any other Twitter client.

Simply swipe left or right to browse photos. Tap on a photo that interests you and it will be presented on a larger screen. You can also see the tweet that’s associated with it on this screen.

From this screen, you can tap on the image and you will get three more options – copy image, email image, and save to photo library. Use the “save to photo library” option to save the photo to your iOS device.

From the top right side, you can see three options – search, compose, and settings. You can search for images by entering a keyword, hashtag, albums curated by topics such as celebs, travel, etc, locations, or you can browse in real time with the recent and around me albums. Many people will find the location based search pretty interesting. You just need to give access to your location and then you can view photos posted from around your current location.

Bottom Line

Twizgrid is surely addictive and once you start browsing photos, it’s difficult to stop. If you love Pinterest, then you should definitely try out this app.

Twizgrid can be downloaded for free from the App Store and it is available for iOS 5.0 or up. Give it a try on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
