FOX Business Network (FBN) reports that, “Bank of America is currently the subject of a denial-of-service attack on its website.” FBN reports that, “A group claiming to be allied with Muslims is taking responsibility for the attack and claiming anger over American ‘Zionism’ and also the recent film mocking Islam,” and that, “The group is using Pastebin, a site often used by hacking groups to publicize cyber attacks.”
On Bank of America’s denial-of-service attack:
“Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) is currently the subject of a denial-of-service attack on its website. A group claiming to be allied with Muslims is taking responsibility for the attack and claiming anger over American “Zionism” and also the recent film mocking Islam. This group is offering links to contribute to attacks on Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) and the NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX). The group is using Pastebin, a site often used by hacking groups to publicize cyber attacks. The NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX) says it has not seen a disruption. Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) has not commented and there is no way of verifying whether group is indeed Islamic.”
