Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is revamping their online store. The reason for this re-launch is to make it easier to market to educational institutions, public schools, and other businesses.
They recently made the announcement on their website with a banner and through emails sent last week. While most of us will not see or be affected by these new changes, the Apple reseller store will update later this week and will be unavailable from 8:00 a.m. Friday April 6th through 6:00 p.m. Sunday April 8th. The benefits of the new website include a choice of standard or expedited shipping, a line item reference field which provides a six-digit code per line of each item that will help you match the product with select projects and customer reference data field,. Their new website makes it easier for businesses to order what they need.
This new update is not really a significant change but current customers will still keep their login information and they will not need to start a new account. For the rest of us, Apple will launch a new online store, however we are not certain when the changes will take place.
That is just one thing that Apple succeeds at so well: constant renovations. It doesn’t just stop at creating new innovative products and software programs at regular intervals, it’s also altering the whole shopping experience for customers. Apple is so much more than just a business or a brand, it’s more like a lifestyle and I think that is another big reason why people love it so much.
I personally can’t wait to see what Apple does with their regular online store. Judging by the small albeit nice changes they are making on their reseller site, the changes they will make with the regular Apple store probably won’t be that significant, but I am hoping that they will simplify the store a little more and make it easier to navigate.
