Mario Gabelli talks about energy policy. Gabelli advocates an ad valorem tax on automobiles.
He does not think cash for clunkers was a good idea. He thinks that trucks which produce much more gas should have to pay more for tolls. Gabelli also thinks we should have a broad based Government program to increase energy production like the FCC is currently proposing for telecommunications.
