I will be on vacation for the next week and a half. I am sorry but I will likely not be posting during that time period. Its possible I will post one article during that time period. If not my monthly market valuations for late March, I will probably postpone until early April.
Let me tell my readers of some exciting upcoming events on the site. I interviewed David Dreman several weeks ago. I sent him a transcript of our interview to review. He is on vacation but when he gets back in early April I will be able to post it on the site.
I will be interviewing Scott Barbee portfolio manager of Aegis small cap value Fund and Portfolio Manager of Aegis High Yield Fund. The Aegis Small cap value fund has returned 9.59% per annum since inception versus 5.68% for the Russell 2000 value. The Aegis High Yield Fund won the Lipper rating for having the highest risk adjusted returnfor the 5-year period ending December 31, 2009, ranking best out of the 337 funds in the high current yield category as measured by Lipper over the period.
I will also be interviewing Jay Kaplan a portfolio manager at Royce Funds. Jay manages or co-manages six funds at Royce. He will be focusing on dividend investing in the small cap world.
In addition I will be posting some book reviews on some exciting books. Roger Lowenstein is coming out with a new book titled The End of Wall Street. I believe this book will probably make it to the best seller list. I will also be reviewing Jason Zweig’s new book Benjamin Graham, Building a Profession: The Early Writings of the Father of Security Analysis, and I will be reviewing Bruce Greenwald’s book titled globalization: n. the irrational fear that someone in China will take your job. In addition, I will of course be posting regular columns.
For May I will be interviewing Mohnish Pabrai author of The Dhandho Investor: The Low – Risk Value Method to High Returns and chairman of Pabrai Funds. There is a chance I might interview legendary value investor Michael Price in May also. If you have any questions to ask Mohnish please submit them at jacobwolinsky(at)gmail.com subject Mohnish Pabrai, and I will try to incorporate them in the interview.
Despite the fact that I will not be writing new articles there is still tons to check out on the site. I have a lot of old articles which are archived in January and December which many of you likely did not read, make sure to check it out. I also updated my timeless reading resource page http://valuewalk.com/timeless-reading/ with lots of excellent links. Make sure to check it out there are dozens of valuable articles on the page. Also check out my profile pages of famous value investors http://valuewalk.com/resource-page-2/legendary-value-investors/benjamin-graham/. Not all the pages are done, which I apologize for. But rest assured I will eventually complete that section which will be a great addition to the site.
Finally, I must thank my loyal readers. The site was started on January 10th and I am already receiving more traffic than many sites that have been around for far longer. In addition many of these people are full time bloggers whereas I only do this as a side profession.
Here are some statistics from the site. We have 118 readers on feedburner and 173 followers on twitter. My alexa rank is 1,300,000 and decreasing every day (which is a good thing). We should have a page rank shortly. We have over 3,000 quality back links which is a spectacular feat for a site that is 2.5 months old.
